• Iowa National Guard event brings awareness to veteran suicide rates (who13.com) — Johnston residents are invited to join the free "Step up for Suicide Prevention" 5K at Camp Dodge's one-mile track from 2–4 p.m. Tuesday, open to the entire community. Participants can walk, run, or ruck, access mental health resources, and even donate ruck-pack items to families in need while supporting suicide prevention for Iowa's military community.
   

• Iowa Bankers Association Announces Launch of Foundation (dmcityview.com) — Based in Johnston, the Iowa Bankers Association has launched the Iowa Bankers Foundation to expand how banks support communities across the state. The new foundation will back financial literacy, entrepreneurship, homeownership, workforce development, and disaster recovery, guided by a statewide board of banking leaders.
