Knoxville Structure Fire Displaces Family – KBOE 104.9FM Hot Country (kboeradio.com) — An early-morning house fire on West Larson Street in Knoxville destroyed a garage and left a family of four and their four pets displaced. Knoxville firefighters rescued a dog from the home and worked for hours to contain the blaze, with multiple area departments and the American Red Cross Iowa Region now helping the family recover.

2. Knoxville Schools Sees Large Increase in Student Work-Based Learning Participation (kniakrls.com) — Knoxville families can celebrate a big jump in local students gaining real-world experience, as work-based learning participation in the Knoxville Community School District rose from 96 to 178 students this year. Over 100 Knoxville High School students earned industry-recognized credentials in areas like food safety, agriculture, OSHA, CNA, and childcare, highlighted in a year-in-review report to the school board.

Pella Regional Health Center and Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Recognize Ulrich Ford Lincoln for $50,000 Contribution to the Bridging the Gap Campaign (kniakrls.com) — Knoxville Hospital & Clinics and Pella Regional just received a $50,000 boost from Ulrich Ford Lincoln toward their joint Bridging the Gap campaign, which will fund a new South Central Iowa Radiation Center. Planned for completion in early 2027, the center aims to bring state-of-the-art radiation therapy much closer to home for cancer patients in Knoxville, Marion County, and surrounding communities.

Knoxville Summer Teams Travel To Chariton Tonight (kniakrls.com) — Knoxville’s baseball and softball teams hit the road to Chariton tonight, with the Panthers baseball squad riding a four-game conference win streak in a key South Central Conference matchup. Softball is still seeking its first win after a close 2–0 loss to Chariton earlier this season, and tonight’s baseball game will air live on 95.3 KNIA.
