• Linn County approves new speed limits on secondary roads (cbs2iowa.com) — Newly approved Linn County speed limits will change how fast you can legally drive on several roads at Marion's edges, including Alburnett, Lucore, and Winslow roads. After a state law raised default county speeds, engineers reviewed conditions and set 55 mph limits on key stretches near Marion, so watch for new signs and adjust your commute accordingly. 
• i9 Investigation: Videos show same driver in repeated alleged road rage encounters (kcrg.com) — A pattern of aggressive driving incidents across Linn County, including areas Marion residents use, has prompted police to remind drivers they can face serious charges even when incidents are only caught on video. Marion Police Officer Tom Daubs explains how officers can still ticket reckless drivers and urges anyone targeted to avoid confrontation, create distance, call police, and save any video evidence.
