• Norwalk boy to receive adaptive bike at Principal Charity Classic (kcci.com) — A Norwalk 5-year-old named Bryce, who has overcome major medical challenges and lives with nonverbal autism, is being surprised with an adaptive tricycle at the Principal Charity Classic today. The custom bike will let him ride alongside other kids, building independence and inclusion after years of therapies, hospital stays, and using a walker to get around. 
• Central Iowa water warning raises questions about drinking water safety, scarcity in Northern Iowa (northiowatoday.com) — Norwalk is under a Stage 3 “water warning,” meaning most lawn watering is banned as Central Iowa Water Works battles high nitrate levels that strain treatment capacity. Officials say tap water remains safe, but the restriction protects supplies for essentials like drinking, bathing, and firefighting while highlighting broader statewide concerns over nitrate pollution and drought.
