• Search for Driver in Highway 18 Hit-and-Run (northwestiowanow.com) — Authorities based in Spencer are asking for help finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run on Highway 18 in rural Clay County Thursday afternoon. A westbound SUV was sideswiped by an older white Chevrolet Suburban that crossed the center line and left the scene; anyone with information is urged to call the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. 
• All the Grandstand Shows For 2026 County (wearedubuque.com) — Big-name entertainment is headed to the Clay County Fair in Spencer this September, including Gabriel Iglesias, Lee Greenwood, and Martina McBride on the grandstand stage. The roundup also highlights other Iowa county fairs and the Iowa State Fair, giving Spencer residents plenty of options for summer concert road trips across the state.
