• Louisa County officials are moving forward with the process that could lead to the demolition of the former Louisa County Jail and Sheriff's Office in Wapello (kbur.com) — County leaders are moving toward possibly demolishing the former Louisa County Jail and Sheriff’s Office building in Wapello, which also once housed the Wapello Police Department. Bids for demolition are expected by July 21, with work potentially finished by Sept. 30, though one supervisor wants to see final costs before a binding vote on the building’s future.
