• 44 Math Stars named in Iowa (ourquadcities.com) — Waukee families can celebrate that the Waukee Community School District had the largest group of National Math Stars in central Iowa, with 10 students chosen for the elite program. In all, 44 Iowa fourth graders were selected for a decade of advanced math support, mentoring, and enrichment opportunities designed to challenge top young problem-solvers statewide. 
• 2028 Softball Recruiting Notebook: September 21st (on3.com) — Softball fans in Waukee will notice Oklahoma's top pitching recruit, Sophia Schlader, was scouted in person while leading Waukee Northwest to a second straight state championship. The broader recruiting roundup tracks where other elite 2028 prospects are committing, from Texas and Tennessee to Ole Miss and more major programs.
