• Trump administration warns eight Kansas hospitals about pricing transparency (ksn.com) — South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City is among eight Kansas hospitals warned by the Trump administration for not posting required price information for patients. The notice stems from a federal rule requiring hospitals to disclose out-of-pocket costs, with potential fines up to $2 million a year for noncompliance. Other hospitals statewide also received similar letters.
   

• Kansas preteen is on a mission to cut 50 lawns for free this summer to help those in need (upworthy.com) — An 11-year-old from Arkansas City is spending his summer mowing 50 lawns for free to help elderly, disabled, single parents, and veterans through the Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service. Braden has already hit his 10th yard in just a couple of weeks and aims to finish all 50 by the end of summer, earning milestone shirts along the way and plenty of encouragement from supporters nationwide.
