• Kansas boy discovers 15-foot marine reptile fossil from 85 million years ago during geology field trip (nypost.com) — An 11-year-old from Clearwater uncovered a remarkably complete 15-foot tylosaurus fossil during a Sedgwick County 4-H Geology Club trip to a nearby quarry. Over several return visits, he and fellow club members helped excavate the ancient marine reptile, and he now plans to display the skull at the Sedgwick County Fair this July.
