For a $10 admission and $1 per round, participants can win meat bundles like steaks, pork chops, and chicken, plus enjoy low-cost drinks while helping a local charitable group.
   

• Investigation underway after fatal incident, water rescue east of Emporia (kvoe.com) — Emergency crews from Emporia and Lyon County responded Thursday to a pickup that left Road 175 east of Emporia and became fully submerged in Badger Creek, where the 67-year-old driver from Lebo died despite life-saving efforts. Investigators say the westbound truck went off the south side of the road, went airborne, and landed in the creek, with more investigation underway.
