ā¢ Michelin downsizing Emporia operations (kvoe.com) ā Michelin is reorganizing its agricultural operations in Emporia this year, cutting about 100 jobs and nearly shutting down that side of the plant while keeping wheel operations intact. Local and state workforce agencies are coordinating information sessions and support, as this move follows a string of major closures that have already cost Emporia hundreds of jobs since late 2024.

ā¢ Concerns arise as BizHornet employees are moved into Student Advising Center (esubulletin.com) ā Emporia State business students are seeing major changes as BizHornet Center staff and advising move into the centralized Student Advising Center, leaving the longtime Cremer Hall hub nearly empty and many services on hold. Faculty and students are questioning how their SBT fees are being used and worrying that the loss of BizHornet programming could hurt accreditation, job placement, and future support for Emporiaās business majors.
