Planning commission discusses data centers (ransonfinancial.com) — Hutchinson’s Planning Commission is pushing for tighter zoning rules on data centers and battery energy storage systems after recent city council discussions. Commissioners noted a joint Reno County, Hutchinson and South Hutchinson task force working on the issue, even though no commission members were included. 5. 🥎 Craft powers Hutchinson sweep of Wichita Heights (hutchpost.com) — Hutchinson High softball fans have plenty to cheer about after Kohlbie Craft’s two home runs and eight RBIs powered the Salthawks to a dominant doubleheader sweep of Wichita Heights at Fun Valley. Hutchinson piled up 31 runs across just seven innings, showcased aggressive baserunning with 20 total steals, and got strong pitching from Mauree Garland and Kierah Sterling before heading to Haysville next week.
