Players from nearby Buhler and McPherson also made first, second, and honorable mention teams, highlighting strong central Kansas talent. • Kapaun pilgrims were walking for a miracle (starj.com) — A Kansas pilgrimage honoring Father Emil Kapaun drew about 350 walkers seeking healing, hope, and spiritual focus along the 60-mile route from Wichita to Pilsen. Among the stories shared was that of a former Hutchinson Community College athlete whose recovery from a devastating head injury is viewed by his family as a miracle tied to prayers for Kapaun’s intercession.
