• I-70 crash involving semi-truck forced driver off the road (centralmoinfo.com) — An Overland Park woman suffered minor injuries Sunday when a semi-truck crossed the center line on I-70 in Boone County, Missouri, struck her Honda Civic and forced it into a ditch, where it overturned. She was taken by private vehicle to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, and her car was totaled, according to Central Missouri authorities. 
• Sculpture dedication at Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens honors late artist (kshb.com) — Visitors to the Overland Park Arboretum can now explore the new "Growing Kindness Poppy Garden," a sculpture park honoring late local artist Jeffrey Hanson and his message of kindness. Created in partnership with his parents and the city, the installation celebrates his vivid artwork, philanthropy, and story of overcoming visual impairment while inviting residents to reflect on compassion.
