• The US Army Just Opened a New 155mm Artillery Ammo Plant in Kansas (nationalinterest.org) — A new U.S. Army ammunition plant has just opened in Parsons where Day & Zimmermann will help produce thousands of 155mm artillery shells each month. Military leaders say the Parsons facility is a key part of expanding America’s defense manufacturing capacity, joining similar plants in Arkansas, Iowa, Texas, and Pennsylvania. The project represents a significant new industrial investment in the community.
