Chestnut Street. Officers say the case involves alleged child endangerment, weapons offenses, and a reported runaway, with the investigation still ongoing.

Pittsburg State partners with Compass Academy Network for summer enrichment program (koamnewsnow.com) — Middle schoolers from rural districts will be coming to Pittsburg State University’s Crossland Technology Center this summer for a free four-week enrichment program focused on college and career exploration. Through a new partnership with Compass Academy Network, the university aims to boost students’ confidence, expose them to campus life, and connect their futures to opportunities in Pittsburg and the surrounding communities.
   

4. Frank Darrell Grispino Sr. (morningsun.net) — Longtime educator and musician Frank Darrell Grispino Sr., who studied at Pittsburg State University and once played bass weekly on KOAM-TV in Pittsburg has died at 89. His life’s work in education, community service, and family devotion is remembered ahead of funeral services Monday in Maryville, Missouri.
