Salina students take top honors at regional civics bee (salina.com) — Salina middle schoolers swept the top three spots at the regional National Civics Bee held at K-State Salina, with students from Salina South and Lakewood leading the way. Local judges, including the Salina city manager, evaluated their ideas for community improvement, and the finalists now advance to the state competition for a shot at cash prizes and a trip to Washington, D.C.
