• Planning commission discusses data centers (ransonfinancial.com) — South Hutchinson is part of a new joint task force with Reno County and Hutchinson that’s prompting fresh discussion about how data centers and battery storage are zoned. At the April 14 Hutchinson Planning Commission meeting, members noted they weren’t invited onto the task force but confirmed city staff are already working on tighter rules for large-scale utilities after an April 7 council meeting.
