• Here's why Johnson County Election Office says it closed some early voting sites (kansascity.com) — Spring Hill is slated to gain a new advance voting site as Johnson County reshuffles early voting locations for the August 2026 primary, closing eight sites elsewhere and trimming the total from 18 to 12. County leaders and civil liberties advocates worry the closures could reduce access for many voters, while election officials say the new plan better balances locations and standardizes hours.
