WKU celebrates Constitution Day the Hilltopper way (wkuherald.com) — Western Kentucky University students in Bowling Green marked Constitution Day with a lively Constitution Fest on Centennial Mall, complete with free pocket constitutions, food, and a collaborative mural. Partnering with the City of Bowling Green and campus groups, organizers focused on voter registration and civic pride, encouraging local students to get registered and more engaged in upcoming elections.
   

2. 2 arrested after Tennessee-to-Kentucky vehicle chase (fox56news.com) — A late-night multi-state police chase ended on Plano Road and Dewey Lake Road in Bowling Green, where two western Kentucky residents were arrested after allegedly firing shots at officers. Kentucky State Police and Warren County deputies pursued the vehicle from I-65 onto I-165 before it stopped, leading to serious felony charges including attempted murder of a police officer.
   

3. WKU finished three-game road trip with 38-0 loss to No. 4 Indiana (wkuherald.com) — WKU's football team will return to Bowling Green 0-3 after a 38-0 loss at No. 4 Indiana, where missed chances and a costly interception stalled promising drives. Hilltopper fans now look ahead to the Sept. 26 home opener against Mercyhurst at Houchens-Smith Stadium, a key chance to reset the season in front of the local crowd.
   

4. Bowling Green Assembly marks 45 years of Corvette production (wbko.com) — Bowling Green residents got a rare inside look at the Corvette Assembly Plant as it marked 45 years as the exclusive home of Corvette production. Community members toured the line, met workers, and saw why "Vette City" is known worldwide, while plant leaders highlighted the jobs, innovation, and global recognition the facility brings to Bowling Green and south-central Kentucky.
   

5. Crews battle combine fire in Warren County, tire blowout sends debris 300 feet (wbko.com) — Fire crews from Smiths Grove and Gott battled a massive John Deere X9 combine fire in a Bowling Green wheat field, using thousands of gallons of water and foam to contain it. A rear tire exploded during the response, hurling debris about 300 feet, and officials are still determining whether anyone was injured as they continue investigating.
