• Trigg County Schools using summer break to launch new crisis alert system (wsmv.com) — Trigg County Schools in Cadiz are using summer break to install a new CENTEGIX CrisisAlert system, giving staff wearable panic-button badges that can trigger campus-wide lockdowns and locate emergency equipment. The district is also tightening building access and continuing gym and maintenance projects, aiming to boost safety and improve facilities before students return.
   

• Leadership class completes its year (kentuckynewera.com) — Cadiz’s 2025–26 leadership class is pushing ahead with plans for a new downtown venue to replace the demolished Renaissance Stage, now under feasibility study by an engineering firm. Graduates say they’ll keep working beyond the program, exploring sites including the old stage location and the new Cadiz-Trigg County Farmer’s Market area to ensure a safe, long-lasting community gathering space.
