• Carl 'Herman' McDonald, 78 (marshallcountydaily.com) — Calvert City readers may remember Carl “Herman” McDonald from his years working as a pipefitter at the Arkema (formerly General Aniline and Film) plant in town. The longtime Benton resident, known for his spontaneity, craftsmanship, and devotion to family, passed away April 12. Visitation and a memorial service are planned Friday, April 17, in Benton.
