• Multiple Kentucky departments battle house fire in Clay City (fox56news.com) — An elderly Clay City resident lost his Main Street home in a May 30 fire that drew multiple departments from Powell and surrounding counties and forced firefighters to work in dangerous heat. Crews battled intense flames for hours, one firefighter suffered heat exhaustion, and the Red Cross is now helping the displaced resident recover.
