Covington Farmers Market could get a permanent home with city's $300K purchase (fox19.com) — Covington has bought the 257 Pike Street property for $300,000 and is considering turning it into a permanent home for the Covington Farmers Market with a covered pavilion and mixed-use space. City leaders are inviting residents to a July 13 open house to share ideas on features like small-business space, a playground, and gathering areas along this key corridor.
   

2. New era for legal and medical education begins in Northern Kentucky (local12.com) — A major new education complex is coming to RiverCenter Boulevard in Covington, bringing Northern Kentucky University’s Chase College of Law and the University of Kentucky’s Northern Kentucky medical campus under one roof. More than 500 law students, faculty, and staff will return to Covington, and medical enrollment is expected to grow 40%, with construction targeted for completion by late 2028.
   

3. Kenton County asks for help building comprehensive transportation plan (wcpo.com) — Kenton County officials are asking Covington residents to help shape a 25-year transportation plan that will influence safety, congestion, and mobility across all 19 cities, including Covington. After an initial open house, more meetings, an online survey, and an interactive map will let you flag problem spots and suggest future projects as major bridge work reshapes local travel.
   

4. Special Olympian Chris Revay set to play golf in '26 USA Games in Minnesota, aiming for medal (nkytribune.com) — A Covington-based Special Olympian, golfer Chris Revay, is headed to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota as the first and only athlete representing The Point/Arc of Covington. The Boone County High grad balances work at St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious golf practice, aiming to turn his lifelong passion and state gold-medal performance into a national podium finish.
