• Council responds to tourism controversy (cartercountytimes.com) — Grayson’s city council has unanimously approved a new budget memorandum tightening how the local tourism commission submits funding requests and financial records. City leaders say clearer deadlines, multi‑year planning, and more transparency are needed so the council can responsibly approve the tourism budget before its July 1 deadline.
   

• Weekly Arrests: 4/15/26 (cartercountytimes.com) — Several Carter County residents, including multiple people from Grayson, were recently booked into the county detention center on charges ranging from public intoxication to probation violations. The list, which includes an arrest by Grayson Police, covers bookings from April 7–10 and notes that all charges are preliminary and all individuals are presumed innocent.
