Free military health services available in Henderson through June 21 (14news.com) — Free medical, dental, vision, mental health, and even veterinary services are available to Henderson residents now through June 21 thanks to a U.S. military training mission in town. Anyone age 3 and up can walk in, regardless of income or residency, and receive care on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional service days are also planned in nearby Union and Webster counties.

2. Matthew 25 AIDS Services Celebrates 30 Years with Community HIV Testing Events (wsonradio.com) — Free, confidential HIV testing is coming to the Walgreens on Second Street in Henderson as part of Matthew 25 AIDS Services’ 30th anniversary celebration, giving locals an easy way to check their status. Partnering with Walgreens and Greater Than HIV, the group is hosting pop-up testing events across the Tri-State and inviting supporters to join a “$30 for 30” donation campaign if they can’t attend.

3. Tri-State Yard Sales & Events Guide (wbkr.com) — Henderson bargain hunters have several big sales this weekend, including a Humane Society rummage sale on Drury Lane and multiple multi-family yard sales around town. The tri-state guide also highlights dozens of nearby yard sales, festivals, and special events in Owensboro, Evansville, and surrounding communities if you’re up for a short drive.

4. Obituaries for Thursday, June 11, 2026 (wsonradio.com) — Henderson is mourning longtime gospel singer and Army veteran James “Lyndal” Riggs and beloved community member Barbara “Nannie” Ashby, both with deep local roots. Visitation and Life Celebration services for each will be held at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home, with burials at Fairmont Cemetery and Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson.
