⢠PSC rejects Martin County Water District request to end monitoring (mountaincitizen.com) ā State regulators have decided that Martin County Water District, based in Inez, must remain under Kentucky Public Service Commission monitoring, keeping close watch over the system that supplies your drinking water from the Curtis Crum Reservoir. The PSC cited fragile finances, extremely high water loss, and dependence on outside manager Alliance Water Resources, and ordered an updated infrastructure plan and further rate-related filings.

⢠Kentucky Power targets Martin County in reliability upgrades (mountaincitizen.com) ā Electric customers in Inez are slated for targeted reliability upgrades as Kentucky Power builds new tie-line connections in Martin County to reduce outages and speed restoration. Crews are also clearing vegetation and replacing aging poles, transformers, and other equipment on problem circuits across eastern Kentucky, focusing investments where frequent or long-lasting outages have hit customers the hardest.
