• Rescued falcon gets second chance (mountaincitizen.com) — An Inez-area motorist turned a routine drive on Turkey Creek Road into a rescue mission after spotting buzzards circling an apparently injured falcon. Roy White secured the young raptor, took it to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office, and, after consulting state wildlife officials, helped ensure the alert bird was released back into its natural habitat.
