• $10M secured by Senate to repair ‘critical' Estill County Middle School structure issues (fox56news.com) — Families in Irvine should know that Estill County Middle School will receive $10 million in state funding to fix serious structural problems that have closed parts of the building. The emergency measure, passed in the final hours of the legislative session, lets Kentucky emergency officials step in, potentially relocate students to safer spaces, and seek federal reimbursement once repairs are complete. 
• Ross Creek WMA Opens New Hunting, Fishing Terrain (winchestersun.com) — Outdoor enthusiasts in Irvine now have easier access to nearly 1,300 acres of new hunting and fishing terrain at Ross Creek Wildlife Management Area along the Kentucky River. The expanded area in Lee and Estill counties features restored creek habitat, abundant wildlife, and clear driving directions starting from Irvine so locals can explore new spots this spring.
