1. 23-year-old motorcyclist dead after crash on Kentucky 801 (wsaz.com) — A 23-year-old Morehead man, Christopher Adkins, died after his motorcycle was hit by an SUV that crossed the center line on KY 801 near Farmers on Wednesday. Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead is investigating, with Morehead-Rowan EMS and other local agencies assisting at the scene. 
2. Morehead police use SoToxa handheld device to drug test drivers, preventing deadly crashes (lex18.com) — Morehead drivers should know police are now using a new SoToxa saliva-testing device to quickly spot drug-impaired motorists, funded entirely by a state highway safety grant. Two officers are certified to use it in the field, and it’s already helped make an arrest. A longtime officer who lost his mother in a drunk-driving crash hopes the tool prevents similar tragedies locally.
3. Jackie Alexander Officially Introduced as MSU Women's Basketball Head Coach (msueagles.com) — Morehead State has officially introduced Jackie Alexander as the new head coach of the women’s basketball program, signaling a fresh chapter for Eagles fans. The Kentucky native and former Army captain brings Division I coaching experience and a focus on hard work, player development, and connecting deeply with the campus and community. She says she wants a program fans can be proud of for years.
4. Two Williamstown students headed to GSP this summer (pmg-ky3.com) — Morehead State University in Morehead will be one of three campuses hosting Kentucky’s prestigious five-week Governor’s Scholars Program this summer. Two Williamstown High School juniors, Will Fisher and Lettie King, have been selected and will find out in May whether they’ll study in Morehead, Danville, or Murray alongside other top rising seniors from across the state.
