Alongside fresh local fruits and vegetables, kids can join a fun taste-test challenge and earn POP Bucks, while adults pick up preparedness tips, freebies, and community resources.
   

2. Missing Mayfield Woman Ethelene Moss Found Safe (clayconews.com) — Paducah police helped Kentucky State Police safely locate 80-year-old Mayfield resident Ethelene Moss in Paducah after relatives reported they hadn't heard from her for more than a month. Authorities had searched her Mayfield home and nearby hotels before confirming on Sept. 23 that she was found and is safe, though no further details were released.
   

3. Driver cited after crashing into stopped school bus unloading students in McCracken County (lex18.com) — A school bus unloading students on Olivet Church Road in McCracken County was rear-ended Tuesday afternoon, leaving one student with a minor injury and the driver of the car hospitalized with non-incapacitating injuries. Deputies say all bus safety equipment was activated at the time, and the car's driver has been cited for reckless driving.
   

4. Gas prices continue on the rise (westkentuckystar.com) — Paducah drivers are paying an average of $3.97 per gallon for regular gas this week, slightly below the West Central Kentucky regional average of $4.08. Prices are still climbing across the state and nation, driven in part by higher crude oil costs and international tensions.
