1. Two More Arrests Made in McCracken County Meth Trafficking Investigation (marshallcountydaily.com) — McCracken County deputies have arrested two more people in a meth trafficking investigation tied to a parcel sent to a Monroe Street address in Paducah. One suspect from Paducah and another from Metropolis, Illinois, are now in the county jail, and investigators say more arrests and charges could still follow. 
2. Peggy Sue Walker, 87 (marshallcountydaily.com) — Paducah friends and family are invited to honor 87-year-old Peggy Sue Walker at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah on Friday, with visitation late Friday morning and services at 1 p.m. A former Paducah City Board of Education aide and gospel singer, she is remembered for her faith, music, and deep devotion to loved ones.
3. 2.5 magnitude quake felt in western McCracken County (westkentuckystar.com) — A 2.5 magnitude earthquake late Wednesday night was centered along the property line of Barkley Regional Airport in West Paducah, about ten miles west of town. Dozens of people from Paducah and nearby communities reported feeling the mild tremor, which the USGS recorded at a depth of about eight miles.
4. University faces lawsuit on veterinary building construction (murraystatenews.org) — A long-time Murray State contractor that helped build the university's Paducah regional campus is suing the school over its new veterinary sciences building bid, claiming retaliation for an earlier protest. The case, filed in McCracken County Circuit Court, centers on whether the university fairly weighed cost, experience, and past disputes when choosing a higher-priced competitor.
5. Seismologist: Paducah-area quake timing with tornado warning was coincidence (wkyt.com) — A small 2.3 magnitude earthquake near Paducah struck during tornado warnings, but a University of Kentucky seismologist says the overlap was just coincidence. He explains that such minor quakes are normal for the New Madrid region and offers practical safety tips for what to do if residents ever feel stronger shaking.
