• A week after announcing budget cuts, Kentucky gov moves millions to offset them • Kentucky Lantern (kentuckylantern.com) — Kentucky House Speaker David Osborne of Prospect is at the center of a budget tug-of-war after Gov. Andy Beshear found $30 million to soften recently announced cuts to Medicaid, foster care, and TANF. Beshear is shifting money from stalled projects to maintain foster care payments and some benefits, while challenging whether GOP lawmakers will accept his interpretation of their budget flexibility language.
