Airport leaders plan to pair the funds with local support and marketing to reduce risk for an airline, potentially improving connections for business, university, and leisure trips across the Capital Region.

No remains found after 8-day search, investigators collect items tied to missing women case (wafb.com) — An intensive eight-day search of a Morris Road property tied to two missing women yielded no human remains but did uncover items investigators believe are connected to the cases, keeping hope for answers alive. Baton Rouge and Zachary police, along with East and West Baton Rouge sheriff's offices and other agencies, devoted thousands of hours to the effort, and authorities are again urging anyone with information to come forward.
