• Crowley traffic stop results in arrest on gun, drug charges (klfy.com) — Crowley police say a Saturday traffic stop on E. Jeanette Street led to the arrest of a 20-year-old Crowley man on gun and drug charges. Officers report finding marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and two Glock handguns, one allegedly altered with an extended magazine. The man was booked into Acadia Parish jail on multiple charges and a prior bench warrant. 
• Acadiana church to pray rosary for priest charged with child sex crimes (kadn.com) — An Acadia Parish priest accused of indecent behavior with a juvenile is back in court Friday for a pre-trial hearing, while his Richard parish planned a rosary gathering for him and others affected. The case, investigated by the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office and tied to St. Edward Catholic Church, has raised questions about diocesan handling of the complaint. Prior filings and hearings occurred in Crowley.
