• Six Vermilion Parish track and field meet records fall (vermiliontoday.com) — Erath High School was the stage for a standout Vermilion Parish track meet, where freshman distance runner Cheyenne Earnest shattered two long-standing records and senior hurdler Sean Herrington set a new mark in the 300-meter hurdles. The meet, held Wednesday, also saw multiple Kaplan and Delcambre athletes break parish records, capping a historic night for Vermilion Parish track and field.
