Resident battles parish over drainage woes: 'They're trying to make water go uphill' (wbrz.com) — A Gonzales homeowner says years of drainage changes now leave rainwater and foul-smelling standing water in her front yard, and she’s frustrated with the parish’s response. Ascension Parish officials insist the ditches are at proper grade and note limits on working on private property. The resident is still waiting on a culvert replacement she requested last year.
