Ascension Parish officials insist the ditches are at proper grade and note limits on working on private property. The resident is still waiting on a culvert replacement she requested last year.

3. Legislative effort to install air monitors at industrial facilities stalls (businessreport.com) — A statewide push to require air monitors at high-emission industrial plants has stalled in a Senate committee, and Gonzales-based Sen. 4. Bill would shift special ed proof burden from parents to school system (katc.com) — A Gonzales-area lawmaker is backing a major change in how special education disputes are handled in Louisiana, shifting the proof burden from parents to school systems.
