UPDATE: Hammond police identify two persons of interest in gas station homicide (louisianaradionetwork.com) — Hammond police are seeking two persons of interest and a carjacked white Honda Civic tied to a June 4 homicide at the Chevron on Highway 190 West. Investigators say an innocent passenger, 50‑year‑old Patricia Sheppard, was killed when masked gunmen fired dozens of shots into a vehicle at the pumps. Residents are urged to share tips with detectives or Crime Stoppers instead of approaching suspects.

Kemlyn Lomas criminal charges hinge on autopsy results, police say (wafb.com) — Hammond police are awaiting autopsy results to decide if more serious charges are warranted after a May 27 shooting on Perry Lane that later turned fatal. Officers say the suspect, who turned herself in at Hammond Police Department, reported a confrontation that escalated from a Taser use to a struggle over a gun that fired once.
