Man, woman charged with placing credit card skimmers at six Jefferson Parish stores (nola.com) — Residents in Jefferson Parish should know two people are accused of installing credit card skimmers at six local stores in Metairie, Kenner, Harvey and Gretna, allegedly targeting EBT cards. Authorities say alert staff and customers spotted the devices, leading investigators to identify suspects now jailed at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on high bonds.

Former banker to fill vacant seat on Jefferson School Board (nola.com) — A new voice is joining the Jefferson Parish School Board, as retired banker and longtime parish Republican leader Kevin Delahousseye has been appointed to fill the District 9 seat through year’s end. He’s pledging to prioritize higher teacher pay, potentially by reshuffling the district budget and working with state legislators, while succeeding former member Steven Guitterrez, who resigned after criticizing the board’s political culture.

Bodycam Captures Alligator's Surprise Attack On Fleeing Suspect (countryrebel.com) — State Police first encountered the suspect while he was allegedly driving recklessly on I‑10 in Jefferson Parish, before a chase into St. Charles Parish ended with an alligator attack in a nearby swamp. Authorities say the man, who suffered arm injuries but kept fleeing, now faces DWI, resisting arrest, and additional Jefferson Parish-related charges.

Louisiana man attacked by alligator while attempting to run from police (fox8.com) — Louisiana State Police say a reckless driving complaint on I‑10 in Jefferson Parish led to a traffic stop and foot chase that ended with the fleeing driver jumping into a swamp and being bitten by an alligator. The man, who allegedly showed signs of impairment, was later arrested and now faces DWI, resisting, and additional traffic-related charges.
