• St. John's Parish deputies arrest teen in Laplace burglary spree (lobservateur.com) — Deputies quickly arrested a 17-year-old LaPlace resident accused of burglarizing the Dollar General on Airline Highway and El Paso Restaurant on U.S. 51 early Thursday morning. Surveillance video, a detailed suspect description, and a follow-up security check helped link the teen to both break-ins, and he’s now jailed on multiple burglary, theft, and drug-related charges.
