Led by the school’s robotics team, the camps will gain reusable robotics kits and offer scholarships for foster, underrepresented, and low-income children in the Mandeville area.

• A Mandeville senior pounded the zone as the Skippers took a 1-0 series lead on Airline (nola.com) — Mandeville High’s Skippers opened their home baseball playoff series with a 6-2 win over Airline, powered by senior pitcher Quinn Haley’s 6⅓ strong innings. The 16-seed now leads the best-of-three series 1-0, with Game 2 set for Friday night and a possible Game 3 on Saturday, giving local fans two more chances to cheer them on at home.
