• Shreveport PD Fight With Domestic Violence Suspect During Arrest (710keel.com) — Shreveport police say a domestic violence investigation on Raspberry Lane escalated when a suspect allegedly assaulted a woman, endangered a child, and then fought officers while trying to grab a Taser. Officers used a Taser and physical force to subdue him, later booking him into Caddo Correctional Center on multiple charges as officials stressed how quickly such confrontations can turn deadly.
   

• Why Shreveport Garbage Fees Could Increase Soon (710keel.com) — Shreveport residents are being warned that city garbage fees could rise as early as 2027, with local officials comparing what other Louisiana cities already charge for trash pickup. The piece also notes properties the City of Shreveport demolished in 2025, underscoring ongoing efforts to address blight while residents weigh how much more they might soon pay for basic services.
   

• Shreveport man arrested on burglary, drug and firearm charges in Webster Parish (shreveportbossierjournal.com) — A Shreveport resident was arrested in Webster Parish after deputies linked him to a reported home burglary and then reportedly found a handgun and suspected psychedelic mushrooms in his vehicle. Authorities say the 40-year-old, who listed a Camellia Lane address in Shreveport, faces multiple burglary, drug, and firearm charges and is being held on $45,000 bond.
