• Arundel barn destroyed in fire: ‘It had a significant head start on us' (seacoastonline.com) — Alfred firefighters were among several York County crews who battled a fast-moving barn fire on Thompson Road in Arundel Tuesday night, working until around midnight to fully extinguish it. The barn and its electrical system were destroyed, but the nearby farmhouse was spared and no people or livestock were injured, thanks in part to wet ground and favorable winds.
