Auburn and Bath police say their joint investigation uncovered secret meetings at school and a Bath hotel, with a grand jury now sending the case toward a December court appearance. 
• Stepfather of Jasper Smith, Lewiston 4-year-old who died of gunshot wound, pleads guilty to manslaughter (wabi.tv) — Auburn’s Androscoggin County Superior Court is where Robert McCoy has now pleaded guilty to manslaughter and child endangerment after his 4-year-old stepson fatally shot himself in their Lewiston apartment.
