Bath-area voters approve $47.7M budget (pressherald.com) — Voters in Bath and neighboring RSU 1 towns have approved a $47.7 million school budget that will raise Bath property taxes by about 7.3% next year. The plan boosts spending for special education, insurance and wages while cutting or reducing several teaching and support positions and adding new education technicians and a finance assistant.

CCAC summer series preview: music, culture and community on the Kennebec (pressherald.com) — Free Thursday night concerts are returning to Bath’s Waterfront Park this summer, with the new Levitt AMP Bath Waterfront Music Series running July 11 through Aug. 29. Residents can catch everything from West African rhythms and Irish fiddle to Southern rock, reggae-infused Talking Heads covers and a Cultural Crossroads Festival, all presented by local partners including Chocolate Church Arts Center and Main Street Bath.
