Arundel barn destroyed in fire: ‘It had a significant head start on us' (seacoastonline.com) — Biddeford firefighters were among several neighboring departments that helped battle a fast-moving barn fire in Arundel on April 14, which destroyed the structure but spared the nearby farmhouse and residents. No people or livestock were hurt, and officials believe an electrical issue in an old milking room likely sparked the blaze.

Maine native running Boston Marathon to help children fight cancer (wmtw.com) — A Boston Marathon runner who grew up in Biddeford is turning his race into a fundraiser for One Mission, a nonprofit that brightens the lives of children undergoing cancer treatment across New England.
