Blue Hill student organizes campaign to help polar bears (penobscotbaypress.com) — A fifth-grader at Blue Hill Consolidated School rallied 75 classmates to sign postcards urging Maine legislators to support climate resilience, all sparked by her concern for polar bears. Their campaign brought State Rep. Laurie Osher into the Blue Hill classroom on June 4 to talk directly with students about climate change, civic action, and how kids’ voices can influence policy.
