ā¢ Salley hired as Foxcroft Academy field hockey head coach (observer-me.com subscription) ā Foxcroft Academy in Dover-Foxcroft has promoted alum and longtime assistant coach Kilee Salley to head coach of the powerhouse Pony field hockey program. She takes over after an undefeated, state-championship 2025 season and inherits a strong returning roster plus incoming eighth graders. School leaders say her deep ties to past coaches position her to extend the programās winning tradition.

ā¢ Makowski, Griffith among 2026 Outstanding Graduating Students at UMaine (observer-me.com) ā A Dover-Foxcroft native, microbiology major Jasper Makowski has been named the Outstanding Graduating Student in UMaineās College of Earth, Life, and Health Sciences, capping off internships and virus research. He plans to pursue medical school and return to rural Maine as a primary care doctor. Fellow Piscataquis County standout Ruth Griffith of Parkman was named UMaineās 2026 valedictorian. Ā Ā Ā
