• West Gardiner residents reject enlarging the select board, approve fire station, historical society funding (centralmaine.com) — West Gardiner residents just approved $225,000 for a new Bob White Pond Road fire station and $50,000 to finish the historical society building, while rejecting a larger select board. Voters also backed a new comprehensive plan and agreed to join Gardiner and Litchfield in co-owning and managing the New Mills Dam on Cobbossee Stream, which affects water levels and waterfront properties in both communities.
