Teen caught with loaded guns in Lewiston, police say (sunjournal.com) — Lewiston police arrested a 16-year-old Wednesday after they say he fled officers while carrying two loaded handguns, and later charged him with conspiracy to commit murder tied to a recent Pierce Street shooting. Mayor Carl Sheline praised police for getting guns off the streets and urged parents to stay closely involved to help curb youth violence in the city.

The driver, ejected when the vehicle hit rocks and rolled, is being treated in Portland, while a passer-by helped pull the passenger from the wreck before it caught fire.
