• Manchester fire chief ousted after 15 months (centralmaine.com) — Manchester’s Select Board has fired Fire Chief Stephen Caswell after just over a year on the job, making him the second chief to depart in about 18 months. Town officials say they may return to a part‑time chief model and have not yet set a timeline for hiring a new leader, but do not expect staffing problems during the transition.
