ā¢ Unanimous Measure Creating New Office of the Child Advocate Heads to Gov. Janet Mills' Desk (themainewire.com) ā Old Orchard Beach residents are represented directly in a major child-welfare reform, as local Rep. Lori Gramlich helped sponsor a unanimously approved bill creating Maineās new Office of the Child Advocate. The office will replace the current ombudsman, independently review complaints, examine systemic issues in child services, and report annually to state leaders once fully established over the next year and a half.
