Sea Dogs drop rain-shortened finale to Fightin Phils (pressherald.com) — Portland Sea Dogs fans saw a tough finish Sunday as Reading's Fightin Phils took a rain-shortened 10–3 win at Hadlock Field. Miguel Bleis and Henry Godbout homered for Portland, while rehabbing Red Sox prospect Roman Anthony went hitless in his fourth appearance with the team. 
2. Maine Library Commission supports paid director requirement, drops municipal funding proposal (newscentermaine.com) — New statewide standards backed by Portland Public Library's director will require every public library to have a paid director to keep key Maine State Library services like interlibrary loan and internet access. The Maine Library Commission also eased some staffing and hours rules, dropped a proposed municipal funding requirement, and will soon seek more public input on the changes.
